  • Big pollock the truth

I have just spoken to the lad with the big pollock. It was not actually caught he found it in the surf, alive, on South Shields big beach. He was most appologetic and did not think the wind up he was having with his mates would go so far.

Persoanlly i would think it is his mates who might have red faces for falling for a wind up, pity it could not have waited another week Friday April 1st, what fun i could have had.

its like a lad on marsden beach who said he caught a 21 lb cod
he sent details to the sea angler
i think he won a rod and reel

but the fish was caught and lost by a member of this site
if he wants to say who he is he can i wont mention his name

strange that.. I can remember about 15 yrs ago or so a lad from consett ( who shall remain anon) caught a 28 lb cod from balacary and had it weighed as taken from tynemouth.. won a load of gear, way back in time. dodgy...

Dead right Paul. I know the person you are talking about,he lived very close to here mate. Dodgy is right, would like to think someone would tell him about this as I doubt the same person could read it now. Never seen him for ages mind, once upon a time you could always see him offending everyone in a certain pub up here.

                              Jim.

Not sure if the same person still holds the record for that area (King Edwards bay).
