    Anybody fished this area this time of year? Never been myself but planning a trip out somewhere this weekend, was gna try st abbs but not supposed to b any good this time of year

    Hi lots of flatties about on cumbrian coast this year. Try Allonby beach it will show bass, but may be to early, havnt heard any reports from north cumbria coast, Port carlisle and the old viaduct will show better flatties 1hr before high and two hours down. it is getting to that time of year to late for some fish to early for summer fish. But i keep going out, Good luck.

      Cheers for that mate, any thing other than flatties anywhere in that area? Im trying to get away from them species as thats all been catching, dnt fancy travelling other side of country to catch more flatties as the tyne is full of them

        Try maryport 6 mile down frm silloth tht were ya go diging n all shops get yellow tales frm so if the worm r there sure fish r mate

          owt is better than nowt mate.
          i was thinking of just using a very flexy rod and if the flattys take the bait it will be good fun, as ive heard ppl talking ov this on this forum
          obviously we all want the big fat cod weighing a ton but im easily pleased
