Thinking of hitting the pipe tommoro, I havn't fished ther before but fished beach area for a long time. Could any one give me any advice ?

watch out for the massive hole half way along the pipe and the metal spikes on the end of the pipe their has been a few people had the spike go through there foot, as for fishing wise, quite heavy ground close into the pipe, but 50 60 yards out fairly clean but would still use a rotton bottom to be on the safe side.

Usually worth a chuck or two from the skeers in front of the steps before moving along the pipe, especially when there's a bit of colour in the water. It's not a big tide so you might get 1 1/2 - 2 hours of ebb and maybe 1 1/2 hours of flood if it's properly flat, less if there's a bit of swell running. The end of the pipe often fishes better on the flood - I like to chuck between 11 & 12 o'clock off the end, but sometimes have a chuck towards St Mary's if things are quiet. If you chuck to the right, it's well heavy ground; mostly clean/mixed to the left with kelp close in. Just watch yourself on the end if there's more than a couple of foot of swell, especially on the flood (and make sure your gear doesn't get washed away!) - sometimes I fish there with everything hanging on my tripod.

Oh, and watch out for the short spikes on the left hand side at the end!!
