I was down roker Sunday around 1 pm and by then the sea was massive, there were loads of surfers on seaburn beach and the waves breaking over the pier were nearly as high as the lighthouse, obviously the pier was closed by then.Last thursday was a good day for whities, one bloke who was leaving when i arrived had 10 good whities so took his spot ! got 2 whities around 1.5 lb then managed a massive fat one close to 3 lb, a pb for me and the biggest ive seen. then a got 2 good flounders one around 40 cm. thinking i was on a roll returned friday and caught 1 small whitie and 1 small coddling and a load of crabs ! It was my first ever cod so i was quite proud of that ! (being a newbie !! )
