  • SL30SH spare spool ?

Anyone know where I can source a couple ?

Most of my fishing is on mixed to heavy ground so I tend to use heavier 30lb mainline with no shock leader, a rotten bottom and weaker hook trace for shorter lobs, or an 80lb shock leader for longer casting.

For lighter beach fishing and during the summer I intend using 20lb mainline.

Rather than buy yet more reels it makes sense to simply load a spare spool with the lighter line for when I need serious distance or when I fish lighter rigs.

I will be asking John at Sport & Leisure tomorrow, and he can no doubt arrange to get me a couple, but I just wondered if anyone knew of any stockists ?

There hard to come by, theres the odd one on ebay now and then though.

I thought about doing this a while ago but couldnt source a spair spool. Your best off just buying another reel second hand such as a slosh 20 and using this for lighter lines.

Another option is that you could just change your line when you need to, the fact your using it for rough ground means itll be getting frayed and need changing every now and then anyway.
