go down most years- bit of a bun fight, but someone has to win. lost the winning cod maybe 20 yrs ago- snagged on groine at holmpton, and guy 60yds down the beach caught it 30mins later with my trace still attached. **** happens.the social side is a laugh - karaoke in a pub in brid full of mackems!
tunstall still giving up the odd double, but come the day, you pays your money - you takes your chance.

      Erm.....No!

Cliffs are a nightmare, Never saw a fish in the last 2 years I've been down there.

It's poor and would rather blank on my doorstep than travel 3hrs too!

yeah, its a good weekend and a well run comp, agree about reduced prize table.I only fished the Sunday last year and had a 2lb.3 cod but just missed out on the prize.....never mind eh.
Some of the cliff get downs are dodgy more so when its wet, that's when I give the likes of Hilston area a miss.
I fished just north of Hornsea and had loads of room to fish but when looking south towards the town it was packed shoulder to shoulder.
My favorite mark is Tunstall,I park up at caravan site and just keep walking south until spaces appear, a lot of anglers crowd up close to the park but if you just keep walking south there's always plenty of room.
Health permitting I again will be fishing this great comp.
