    Can anyone tell me where is the best place to park for whitley pipe
    and best time to fish and tides please thanks

      Just park on the side of the main road, opposite the ramp that leads down to the lower prom. Down the steps in the middle and it's about a 50yd plodge across to the pipe. You should get, give or take, about 2 hrs down to low and an hour /hour & a half flood - I prefer the bigger tides, on the really small tides the pipe may well not uncover at all. The pipe skeers are a good shot if there's a bit of movement & usually worth a chuck or two before going out along the pipe.

      This time of year I'd be taking ragworm & crab for plaice, coalies & pollock & codling, with the option of lures for mackerel & pollock. As winter sets in, crab, mussel & lugworm usually do the business (maybe a bit of bluey/mackerel & squid as well).
