I am 6' 4" and almost 17 stone, and other than my old army gore-tex gear I am really struggling to find something with enough across the shoulders to allow casting, and long enough arms so that the cuffs don't end half way down my forearms
Anything with enough across the shoulders appears to have an extra foot or two of available (an unnecessary) girth, but I've yet to find anything with the right arm length or that doesn't feel a litte short in the body.
Anyone got any suggestions for the taller angler ?
Attempts to shrink myself in the wash have, thus far, remained unsuccessful...
Totally know where you're coming from on this one; I'm 6 ft 3, 13 stone with monkey-boy arms. The Titan smock (cotton) is by far the best fitting piece of kit I've got, looking to try the waterproof/breathable one. Greys also a monkey-boy fit (well my fly fishing jacket is). I use my army issue goretex jacket and trousers sometimes, these are a perfect monkey-boy fit. (Check E bay mate). I've yet to find a floatation suit that is long enough and not wide enough to fit a medium size oil tanker in it."Lo, they do call to me; let me take my place among them, where the brave will live...forever". (And drink beer; also forever. And catch some fish).
PBs-
Shore- 4 lb Cod, 3 lb 4 oz Bass, Dogfish 4lb
Kayak- 5 lb 12 oz Ling, 2 lb 6 oz Mackerel, 6 lb Pollack
Boat- 9 lb 10 oz Ling, 7 lb Cod
Rods
1. An old rod brought back to life by fishfingers (possibly a Conoflex Cod 6)
2. Grey PZ Match MK1
3. Sonik SKS
Reels
Penn 525 Mag 2 (x2) & Abu 6500 c3/CT/C3 Mag Hi-Speed

Are Bison 2 piece flotation suits OK ?
Tried a set on and it seemed to fit, but I'd rather hear from anyone who has used one before I pull the trigger.
Sundridge Marine Pro jacket was a good fit too, and I'm toying with the idea of simply using a jacket with chest waders (and lots of layers underneath) rather than a two piece suit.
Anyone ?

Bought a Salt smock off the net.
Body is O.k. I couldn't get many layers underneath tho. which wasn't a problem as I bought it for a summer lightweight whilst rock hopping.
The sleeves however are halfway up my forearms, and that tight it is hard to fold my arms, never mind cast. It's as tho. the arms of a medium have been sewn on to an XL body??
Gear of choice is Snowbee Granite neoprene studded chesties, and fly fishing, wading, jacket, ( V.good for beach fishing in surf !), extra room in arms mean sleeves don't pullup even during casting.
loads to choose from, to suit every pocket !

I think I may have solved this without even spending any money
I happened to be up at my caravan over the weekend, checking it over since the season starts in a couple of weeks, and I found a Paramo jacket I'd forgotten about.
I keep a green one in the boot of the car and my old blue Paramo was left at the caravan in the event of crappy weather.
I've just washed and reproofed it and I figure it will work great with chest waders or with goretex bib and brace, both of which I already have.
I also figured I could put my army goretex jacket over the top of the Paramo in really foul weather but, frankly, if it's that bad, I have no business being out in it...
I will keep looking for a two piece fishing getup but, for now, this arrangement should more than suffice.
