  • What species ?

    My mate Eddy and I went down to St Peters today to fish some old bait we had plenty bites small whiting and a few small codies total of 25 fish all put back no keepers, and Eddie caught this one on bluey, we did not know what species it was.
    Teeth like a piranha

    Think its a Smelt, there's been a few reports on here recently about them being caught in the River!

        yes mate is a smelt,I read somewhere they are protected in the river Tyne and should be returned ....

                pb s ling 24lbs cod 10.7 lbs pollock 9.5 lbs mission on to beat these
