    Noticed some in morissons the other day wondered if anyone has ever tried it

    aye its not bad ,dusted in self raising flour with a 1 part ground black pepper and 1 part cayenne pepper then deep fried mmm , squeeze of lemon and away you go , lovely

      lol .. I asked for that ..remember reading a post last year very little being caught from the beaches and reports of a large shoal of the stuff about a mile out ..just wonder if anyone had tried them as er bait

        if so i often use the offcuts after filleting only problem is i only ever catch more whiting with the stuff,its as good as maccy on the visual side but lacks the smell if im barking up the wrong tree just kick me and ill lie down

          Forget whitebait, go for their sprats and mount them on a small pennel - if you pick the right sort of storm beach during the right conditions you\'ll get some cracking runs!

            tried some white bait AND some sprats this evening if you ask nicely the lady at morrisons will pick the biggish white bait out for ya in total got about 6 sprats and a handfull of white bait for about 60p bargain bait!!! tried it up at craster this evening and had bites with both but allas blanked again mixed the white bait with mussel and got ye auld bait lacky onto it will defo try it again in future
