  • bass holiday booked up.

well emits all this freezing weather (forecast for snow 2mora) and cod malarky iv been busy scouring the internet for somewhere to holiday in july. me n me brother and some friends have booked these two houses for a trip down Llanbedrog in wales.

done some research and the beach is packed full of bass and mullet in the summer as well as bream, bull huss, thornies, odd stingrays and of course doggies. plan on doing some touch ledgering from the front garden into these gullies to get my first bass

and sitting out with a bbq (weather permitting) in late evenings on the headland hopefully for the huss and thornies on the night.
to say im excited is an understatement first proper fishing holiday.
will be taking every bit of fishing gear i have and explore the lot.
expect a zillion pictures and a week long report in july hopefully include some new species for me. just got meself an abu 6500 (first multi) yesterday too nice light multi probs perfect for this kind of fishing, so hopefully i can cast it by then
not trying to rub it in btw just trying to vent my excitement here!!
anyone else planning anything for the summer fishing wise?

Learnt a bit about the island last year and this time I've booked up at Gory, right next to saint caths pier which is one of the best places to fish there. Roll on July

St Catherines Breakwater is good but really you should get to La Roque for the bass.
If you do get there either use a boat or be very careful.

Oh and Ozzy if you ground bait up for a couple of days the Mullet will give you awesome sport.

Thanks for advice mate but bass just aint my bag, I'm after undulates and any other monster that lurks around the breakwater. I'll be prepared this time as last time I wasn't.

Anyway Ozzy, wales is a great fishing venue but don't forget to take yer fuc**n umbrella
