Can\'t understand it Tony. All they have to do is throw the excess bait into the sea and take the empty bags home .
    Some people will never learn.

    Jim.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

on shields pier it\'s not just the rubbish its stinks of urine at the very end.
Jonny you should wash it with a bit soap and hot water LOL

But your dead right about THE PIER end ,it is lifting ,and in the summer it is REALLY stinking- i reckon you will never stop people taking a leak ,but hey you have the Whole North Sea to aim at and a few million gallons to dilute it ,instead of trying to explain to the bairns why it smells so bad and there is so many flies

I fished Dover Admiralty Pier over the weekend. The fishing was rubbish but the pier was a revelation, there were no piles of litter, no corners stinking of urine, just a clean space to fish with toilets and a closed cafe. It cost a fiver and there was a steward in a hut by the entrance. It might be different with hoards of macky bashers and tourists taking four inch bass in summer but it was great. Ok, so local angling club(s) have to pay the chap his wages but his sort of thing would be great on any big pier.
