  • Northern Lights Tonight Monday 23rd

    Just heard that the Northern Lights could be visible fron the North East tonight around midnight, so if any anglers are out tonight around this time keep an eye out towards the north / north east and let us know cos unfortunately ive got the bairn in bed for school
    2011 : Coalfish, Codling, Common Eel, Dab, Flounder, Launce, Plaice, Whiting.

    2012 : Whiting

    I have only seen them once Steve as I was driving over Stanhope moors fantastic sight to see mate.

        Was out on Whitley Pipe tonight and heard something was going on; lots of cars in all the car parks, people with telescopes and binoculars & stuff - never seen a thing mind lol!

              Apart from the odd shooting star, the only thing i seen was a green light in the distance out to sea around low water which went after 10 minutes, didnt make up for the blank though.

                    I couldn't see anything out my upstairs window last night but fingers crossed they are still about on Thursday night when I''m out late fishing. They had a good view of the northern lights in Morpeth on Saturday (I've seen a photo).

                      im thinking bout going for a walk tonight to see if i can see them. I was thinking of penshaw, any ideas on best spots to see them, is it better on the coast. i live in newcastle

                        we have rain around 9pm so probs plenty cloud about so ya might not see them
