    I had the kids and dog down the beach today, i walked about 100 yds to the right of the astley arms and there was a big sand bank that ran down to the sea, just wondered if this is a noted mark. I imagine it'll be pretty deep at high tide.

    I seen it yesterday aswell mate, ive never fished down there over high water. Best just give it a go, or youll never know.

                Mate and I always used to fish opp' the Astley Arms on the high tides when it was like that - massive drop into deep water right in front of you. Had some nice fish from there over the years but it's been a long time since I last fished there.
