  • Samalite battery problem

Seems as if it wont take charge, it ran very low while fishing last night, and went to put it on charge today, the red and green led just flashing...

herd about "bumping" a charge on them with another samalite batter... dont know how that works, or the booster cable with a 9v batter...

Anybody in shields area have a samalite i can "bump" the charge over, or a booster cable?

    Thanks

its not that it wont hold the charge, just it got ran flat... and the s hite design of samalites means the charger doesnt recognise the battery so wont charge it.

Managed to get it to take charge by jumping a charge across from another lead acid battery from another headlamp of the same volt, and amp's soooo leave it for a few hours and keem my fingers crossed... £80 for a new batter can suck my plums haha

pm your address I'l pick up your battery and put it on my charger in the garage, its a power supply that monitors the voltage and charge current so I can see if its charging properly.

hi mate, cheers for that, but i'm a bit sceptical handing over a 80quid battery on my doorstep. So if you wouldnt mind PM'ing me your adress and I'll pop over, and it will be good to see how its done and where its going wrong.

You can send them so samalite who apparently jack them and return them fully charged for a small fee. So that is the route worse comes to worse.

                          Cheers, Ryan
