  • Camping east tarbet mull of galloway

Hi does anyone know if the farmer still lets you camp at east tarbet? The last time I was up there was 2011 and totally love the place but when I was talking to the farmer while he was collecting his couple of quid to stay there for the night he was telling me that he was thinking about stopping people camping there because of some people leaving there rubbish behind and generally leaving the place in a mess and to be honest you couldn't blame him if he did stop it.i mean to pay a couple of quid to stay the night is such a nice place the least u can do is clean your own mess up and take it away.He did point out the remains of a melted air bed on an old campfire and empty beer cans ! Id appreciate it if anyone knows if he lets you still camp here as I want to go up in a couple of weeks with my little lad for a bit of rough camping, cheers in advance Steve.

        camping

There were people camping there four weeks ago. I would stop at the campsite at the clashwannon. Good showers etc and the food in the pub is spot on. Breakfast in the mariners café in Drummore is also very good.
