Rocks in front of the staincliffe can only be fished on a big low water, also best when the sea's been massive.

i caught a 26 ounce weaver from there with a split cane rod and a scarbro reel loaded with bait elastic, i used a 25 hook clipped down pulley pennell flapper bomber rig with a AA split shot as a weight. bait used was a makerel scale. tiped with a crabs eyelash.

sea had been flat for 5 weeks and water was dirty like the starn end of darwind canoe.

          tight lines.

on a big tide at low water straight in front of queen street just along from the staincliffe is my fav spot... especially after a couple of days of a big sea...

there is a nice runner between the rock scars it usually holds about 6 ft of water and its only a 20 yd lob... with the queen street junction behind you there is also a runner that runs from between the scars all the way along the front of the right hand scar till it looses depth in the sand...

thats best advice i can give apart from going down during the day when there is a strong off shore coupled with a big tide and make mental notes on the area,, and remember that the runners do sometimes shift or fill up with sand with storms and strong tides..

                good luck
