Steve mate - you will have one hell of a walk from Church Point to Lyneburn! Far better to travel towards Lynemouth then follow the road along and down right, and park at the old gypsy site on the right or alternatively another half mile and park on the right opposite the new gypsy site which is now on the left. I have parked along there a canny few times and you should have no worries from the gypsies - they are well used to anglers parking. If you have a four wheel drive ora bike it is possible to turn right opposite their new site and park on the earth/mud in view of the beach. The mouth of Lyneburn can move! Be careful if you fish around high water that you can get around it back to base! Deep water around here so distance is not required but because of the odd hidden rock - DO NOT WADE!!!!!!!!!! Expect Codling et al - best use a pennel in my view as the tide pull can be quite strong and is a good idea to hedge your bets as to having a good hold on the fish - so use the waves to assist bringing in the fish ie do not retrieve against the tidal back flow! Hope this helps - good luck!
So long and thanks for all the fish! (www.lsbsac.co.uk)

Haven\'t fished there yet but been thinking about going up soon. Have been told Alcan best place to park. Is that wrong?

OK to park at Alcan as a security guard at the main gate keeps an informal watch on parked cars. I would guess that ALL CARS parked there would be anglers! Walk along past the water tanks on your left(Sea Bait tanks!) - but DO NOT walk down to the beach yet. There is a large, long rock wall ahead - again keep left and you will find a path on the top of this \'wall\' - follow this path all the way - the sea will be on your right. When path drops down to beach Lyneburn is about 400 yards north. At low water you can walk back up the beach (south) to the pipe outfall (a fvoured mark). Deep water all along here with again the odd hidden rock - so don\'t wade! One more thing - it can be very muddy on this walk from Alcan so best to wear waders - wellies can be no use as you can sink and they come off! I would really advise anyone new to this area have a reci first in daylight. This whole area can fish day or night. Hope this helps.

Good info Headley wish I had this info a few weeks ago when I first visited Lynemouth. Spent 1 and a half hours lost in the dunes with a mate with pot on his foot. Not much fun. At least we caught a coding when we finaly found the beach. Great site by the way some great info and crack keep up the good work
