KEEP AHAD LADS IF THINGS DONT CHANGE THEY WILL STAY THE SAME
10ft rod with a Shimano reel you can't go far wrong. Mine is a Grey's 15-60g casts a 1oz spinner a long way great rod would recommend it. Not keen on the Penn Captiva reels - I had the 4000 it lasted a couple of years seemed ok then a big fish killed it when fishing the south coast. My Shimano is way better and very smooth.

General rule with shimano's is get one with as little plastic as possible, if its for spinning 2-4oz a 4000 series is a nice size to start, if you want ill upload mine to give you a idea ?
thunderpants .which shimano reel would u recomend .
Shimano are all good reels. Mine is a Technicium 4000FC which holds enough line for a long cast but is still really lightweight. They come with a spare spool too so if you snap your line and don't have enough left on the spool it's an easy quick change to carry on fishing.
