  • what's this????????

    can any of you old lads tell me what this is? i was going through some old tackle and came across 6 of them. about 5 in long with ceramic rings. is it for a running rig or something else.?????????????

      youve done well to find some of those mate, their very old and rare and nowadays very sought after by collectors of antique tackle, could be worth somewhere between seventy pence and a pound on a good day at aution with 2 collectors fighting for them well done nice find

                They are called Clements Booms. They are used for running ledgering. I still have some, I used to use them many years ago for Tope and Skate at Luce Bay.
