    anyone know what size reel seat goes on a prototype mk1 appollo?

    Why not just measure with it being a prototype will they all be the same ??

      Not sure about the prototype, but my Mk1 has a slight taper on the butt. Slipping a reelseat on from the bottom I had to go for a 30mm, but I fish reel-up and had to pack an awful lot of tape under it. I also found the 30mm didn't grip the small feet of my sloshes / saltists too well; they had a tendency to wobble. So I had the butt-ring removed and slid a 28mm down from the spigot-end then replaced the ring & it's much better. If it's a 13ft model then there's no ring on the butt anyway & it's dead easy.

        got a old greys one and its just to small, maybe take it down to the tackle shop with my reel and see whats best.. probably the best way anyway

              I have a mk1 with criscross shrink tube on, the butt measures24.91mm the top of the shrink ie where the first red line is (w/o shrink tube )measures 22.04mm . measured with my new hong kong digi caliper so could be somewhere near that haha cracking rod by the way are you selling?

                    or try adding one coaster to lock on to ther reel seat depends whats bust tho
