Drove up for a session on the big beach at South Shields. The sea was enormous so decided to fish the pier. Fished at peg 13 from about 3.30pm to 8.30pm. Plenty of whiting about to rag and mackerel and mackerel. Had about 10 from about 30cm to 45cm.
Don\'t know if a rope or something washed into my swim \'cos about 7.00pm it suddenly became snaggy.
Picked up my new Reelsport Response yesterday. Apart from the amazing build quality, it\'s also a great rod. But whenever I use a new rod for the first time, I NEVER catch on it. Odd.
