    BOUNDARIES: TYNEMOUTH NORTH PIER TO SOUTH PEIR SEAHOUSES FISHING: FROM BLYTH PIER IS ALLOWED INTO THE RIVER OR SEA ALL RIVERS EXCLUDED
    WEIGH-IN: GENERAL HAVELOCK EAST SLEEKBURN

    COMPETITION RULES
    Competition commences at 11.00: am and finishes at 3.00: pm
    The weigh-in is from 4.00.pm and closes at 4.30m General Havelock East Sleekburn
    Anyone that is late back even if there is still people in the queue will not be able to weigh their fish in
    The minimum size of a fish to be weighed in shall be:
    Pouting . Whiting 28cm, Haddock, Pollack, Hake 30cm.Codling, Coalfish, Turbot. 35cm. . BASS 1 PER ANGLER 41cm. all flat fish 28cm All other fish not less than 25.cm
    The following fish are not eligible to be weighed in:
    Mackerel, Rays Bream, Dragonets, Lumpsucker Common eel Sea Scorpion, Blennies, 3 & 5 Bearded Rocklings , and all types of shell fish.
    Fishing during the 90 minutes prior to starting time is a breach of rules.
    Competitors must obtain their weighing cards before commencing to fish.
    1. Each competitor will be allowed to use one rod at any one time with not more than 2 hooks, but they may have a spare rod assembled without any terminal tackle. Spare pre-baited traces are allowed.
    2. Each competitor must PERSONALLY hand in their fish to the appointed official, together with completed weigh-in card (including competitors address). Tackle, hooks etc. to be removed before handing in the fish.
    3. All competitors must cast for themselves but may receive the help of any person to gaff, drop net or lift their fish, but must hook and play their own fish to the waters edge.
    4. Any objections must be lodged with the officials during weigh-in period or they will not be entertained.
    5. Successful competitors will receive their prizes immediately following the weigh-in formalities.
    In all matters relating to the “Open Competition” the Organising Committees decision will be final
    6. Any competitor committing a breach of the rules will be disqualified.
    7. A junior must be under the age of 12 on the day of the competition.
    BOUNDARIES – Tynemouth pier to south pier Seahouses. River Wansbeck, River Coquet, River Aln and Seaton Sluice Harbour are all excluded. Fishing from Blyth pier is permitted casting into the river or the sea.
    22. ALL COMPETITORS MUST PICK OWN PRIZE UP AT THE PRESENTATION.

      It was won with a bag of coalies and pollack from Dunstanburgh taken via the float, around 30ib I believe, I wasn't there for the full weigh-in.
