Great fork a little pricey but worth it

Premier Four Prong Potato Fork: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors

Flat tines help reduce the risks of damage to your crops. The design allows soil to fall through the gaps between the tines, with crops remaining on the tool. It is also used to bait digging on mud flats.

      Shaft: 30" WYD (762mm)

Have a look around any Car boot sales.I have had some quality Spear and Jackson and Bulldog forks over the years for no more than a fiver.
And the good thing is the tines are already worn a bit so they are easier to use.

Just use an ordinary garden fork, that’s all I’ve used for years. Don’t bother with a stainless steel one, they’re too soft and will bend.

Pumps always work better in really soft sand, the ones along our coast are mostly hard where there are Yellowtails.

B & Q mate, The make is Friskers, cost: 26 quid. I recently bought one and it paid for itself immediately. Great for soft sand digging and every other ground.

                        regards Rushy
