Thinking of fishing this as my 4 year old son wants to enter a comp!!
he's only blanked once so not doing to bad
Any one know any marks near amble where he can fish, just got a spinning rod but can lob about 40 yards as using braid, I know river, piers etc out of bounds and dont know area well enough to have an idea of what will be fishable for him

Druridge bay would be a good shout for the yougnun. Fish are always well within his casting range there. Can get some nice flatties and good clean ground for him
Thanks, he usualy does pretty well for flaties, so prob woth a shot
usualy fishes at the copthorne, had a try by the groyne at the end of the fish key on sunday, managed to catch a collection of the ugliest fish in the tyne, weavers, rockling and a couple I couldnt even identify!
He is desperate to catch a "proper" cod
biggest fish so far a 1 1/2 lb whiting, so need to find him a deep water mark that is safe for him to fish and take himout for a night session
