  • Fishing trip tomorrow? Ideas?

    Taking the son out tomorrow for a few hours from 9am to 2pm. Looking for ideas if anyone has any thoughts, high water is about 10.45, all ideas welcome but not to far from South Shields thanks look forward to all your advice!
    2011 : Coalfish, Codling, Common Eel, Dab, Flounder, Launce, Plaice, Whiting.

    2012 : Whiting

    Give the walkway a bash its fished canny lately and the tides are quite small this week

          Not windy wer aye am ATM tray if so copthone but bit far keep littel one bizzy with whiting

                A got a 2lb cod and a 2lb and harf flattie ther just saying as kept my 2 year old entertained that's all as so he whas taking his sun are spillers good are fish key but snaggy

                  Aye its areet for the youngins startin oot but what am sayin is theres fish everywhere in the river but theres some proper fish closer to sea

                      most marks in the Tyne have been producing decent codling or plenty whiting, let me know how your young un gets on and how many he beats you by, and try and get a photo with him holding a nice sized fish

                        Once upon a Tyne in a not so far away time fishing at the Copthorne or Metro bridge was a place to be, biggest I seen was a 7-8lb Cod caught under the Metro bridge. That was then and this is now, but you never know.
