  • Weird fish

    Went down Jarrow to have a look at getting into what seems a secret location down jarrow. Any ways seen this swimming about any ideas?

    Looked like a wiered coy carp

      More likely a salmon or sea trout after spawning.

      Seen quite a few recently on the river wear whilst kayaking

          deffo looks like a koi carp lol. dont think it will be though...... hang on a minute. it might be the fish what all the lads have been feeding muscles at the walk way

                cud be a smelt the patch on it the pic might be a bit weed confusing us to be a koi

                  It was defo it's markings, watched swim for 5 mins then a young lad tried to put his 5 ounce weight just in front with the remains of a rag bait after reeled on scared it off.

                      sorry it really does not seem like a koi to me....having cleaned my dads pond a bazillion times and feeding koi growing up...i apologies if im wrong ...just my two penneth.

                            It looks like a Salmon or Sea Trout with UDN,which is a disease that covers them with a white fungus.

                              Definitely what it is, the rivers are full of them this year and alot have died from it before they spawned.
