  • fishing friday (last night)

Met up with a mate of mine last night, so we could have a good nights fishing (or so we thought)

Went to the walk way first (vellva) had a codling around the 1lb mark on lug and mussel, then shifted because tide had a mind of its own pulling us all over the place. We went to marsden beach next, the conditions looked good for the bass but all i kept bringing in was weed, where as me mate didnt bring one bit in.
Next up it was roker pier but unluckily it was closed for us so we went and had a shot of the green beacon at the rat house, had one set of bites and then nowt else all night except crabs.
At least i got out the house.
Hopefully some better luck next time. :P
    Always got it!

Rat house is one of those places that If it fishes then it really does, if it doesnt you wont catch a thing.

Brashy, the beach in between the rat house and Roker is definetly worth a shot when the sea\"s heavy as hell you know

Its just the same species that you catch on both Roker and the rat house Flattie\"s whiting Cod Coalies etc.

I only fish it when everywhere else is unfishable and the rat house along to the prom is full up with anglers.

Theres no specific distance really needed anywhere from 30- as far as you can cast will do.

Fishing the river at the Golden Lion last year, record was 13 crabs pulled out clinging to one flatty bait. It was like that scene from jaws with that wifey\'s body on the beach
