And a couple of minutes later a fish surfaced possibly for mussell or whatever anyway it was a cod and it was massive

It lay about the top for a few seconds and a got a good look at it and being honest the fish was about 20lb my pal simon and david both saw the fish aswell

That's the walkway packed tomorow then lol I remember watching a huge bass apparently sunbathing off Portland bill years ago! Everyone tossing feathers, spinners and stuff at it, it just sank back out of sight!
            Stay safe!
            Enjoy your fishing!

My old man said something similar last week. I met him down there after i finished work. He said he seen something massive surface then clocked him then went back down into the depth. I obv thought he was having me on or that strong coffee must have whiskey in it.

I had a similar experience years ago down Marsden beach....saw this really fit bird lying on the beach(bit strange cos there ain't many fit birds round there) any how she was a cracker so i had a wander up to her fancying my chances with me being a gud looking guy and that, got just within touching distance and she flipped her tail and swam off, gutted cos she was at least a size 10 with 36DD's!
Pity you didn't have drop net or gaff cos you would of had some fish suppers out of a 20lber

although i have clocked a seal on the head with a 6 oz lead, surfaced mid cast, tried to thumb my reel but it hit/scared it and never saw it again! Weirdest moment fishing yet
