    I was out on my dads coble about 30 years ago,along with teo of me dads mates who were in there 50's.The sea was a bit choppy but were catching fish.One of the old boys was spewing his guts up and was that bad his false teeth shot out much to the amusement to the rest of us.His mate wanting to have a joke with him pulled in a cod of about 4lb,proceeded to take his own set of teeth out and place them in the fishes mouth exclaiming''would you believe it this fish has got your false teeth in its mouth,have a look'' the still seasick bloke looked up saw the teeth took them out of the fishes mouth wased them with hot water from his flask and popped them in his mouth.The next thing hes got them in his hand saying''no there not my teeth they dont fit'' and promptly threw the teeth over the side of the boat.My dad and me were in fits laughing at the sight of the two old boys both sucking their gums.
    Till this day i dont know in the bloke knew his mate was taking the p... or weather he genuinely thought they were someone elses.Funniest thing Ive ever seen while fishing!

      Sorry Lambengland,this did actually happen on a boat cailed ''The Golden Chance'' owned by Ray Fenwick moored at the fish quay when I was about 16 years old the two old guys were from Houghton Le Spring.And yes they maybe other variations but i am telling you this actually happened ,along with a load of other funnies as we would be out on that boat every day weather permitting.

            agree with u mate it actually happened i remember it pretty well asd it was in the national papers at the time, and it waas hilarious then and still iis.

            but understand how why the other guy was doubful bout it , cos i hve heard it many a time in various types of joke

                I was not out fishing but this is the worst that has happened to me when I tripped over the cat.



                The problem became worse when I tried to use some pliers to cut the barb end off and they snapped, I ended up using a hacksaw in the end.

                    certainly a certain amount of incovenience and perhaps even a bit of pain in that cat tripping episode

                    how is/do you still have the cat,or was it not yours
