  • Howick Haven and Sugar Sands

Not marks I've fished before so spent the day up there checking them out for sessions in the winter.

I know the Haven is a low water rough ground mark but question about the various bays between the skeers, Sugar Sands, Howdiemont Sands etc. Would you fish them on the flood from the bay itself or fish at low on the rocks to the side of the sands? I was thinking that on a good sea the rocks would give good shelter from the biggest breakers and it would be canny on the flood.

I like it low from the skeers mate. Tends to fill up with weed over high water with a sea on.
