  • Alan the Viking's Rod

A BIG THANKYOU to the lad who retrieved Alan Scott's rod on the pier today. As i was finishing my match and preparing to get back to the weigh in , Alan stopped for a mo, and told me what had happened.

From the Rubble to the Brigade hut he must have told me five times how lucky he was to get his rod and reel back.

He said the lad gets on here, but just in case he's a bit shy or whatever
    Thanks Alan

Alan had been on the pier from 6 00 am, and had a 4.1/2 lb cod , and at some stage while casting with wet hands, his rod slipped from his grasp and went in, but lucky for him it was hooked by a lad fishing next to him.
