  • North shields fish quay, blocked ???

Areet Lads, My M8 popped over to North Shields to pick up some Razor Yesterday for Tonights session, and when over there was told that the Fish Quay would be unfishable due to all the Trawlers etc which are moored along quay due to High Seas...
Any1 know if this is true, just fancied giving it a blast, and been sort of talked out of Hendon Prom, probably for the best from You lot....
    Cheers STEVEO....

Hey man, i work there, there are allot of trawlers docked at the quay. It was unfishable the other night due to them. You should however be able to fish the icehouse at the far right of the quay. Just give it a big chuck to clear the snags and youll be fine
    Cod Mission: Cod over 5lb!

    Success: 27/09/12

    PB COD!!!: 9lb 13OZ!

Yeah, you can usually get in down by Cosalts / the old Ice House, but beware that the boats come to refuel just to the left, often circling around before they pull up, and you often get the pilot boat pulling up by the little jetty to the right.

          Hallaw Steveo.
I find that some nights your are constantly pestered by boats at the ice house as the re-fuelling building is right in front of it. Last time I was down there was a que of them moored in front of welcome finance building.
The rubber factory is only a couple of hundered yards further down river and provides some excellent shelter in these westerlies, I would consider there if you wanting to fish N.Shields.

I was thinking of giving it a bash late tonight myself for the flood, but tbh I went last Sat afternoon and the rats had my life, every time I turned by back they were trying to nick me bait.... Not sure I fancy a repeat in the dark?!

When I was there tho I did see a double figure fish surface and 2 nights later, that 11 lber got pulled in

Deed easy mate, if u driving along the fish quay coming from Tynemouth end, pass the ice factory on your left, keep going past the new(ish) appartments, just after these is some derelict factories, still on the left (river side and before you come to the junction).
Inbetween 2 parts of the factory, you will see a 6ft fence flattened. Thats the entrance mate and you can park there.
Just walk over the flattened fance

The mark opens off to the right once u are in and you also have a roof over your head
Be carefull under here tho, as I caught the railings above on saturday and Ive got one hell of a nest still to cut out one of me reels

But if you fish directly in front of the fence theres loads of room but you will need yur tripod here.

If you about I might bump in to u later on m8
