This forecast predicts storm force North Westerlies off North Scotland at the end of this week.

Remains to be seen but if true it may push a canny swell down the coast.

In a heavy Northerly the beaches will probably be unfishable. In exposed marks your bottom gear will be washed up on the beach and there may be a lot of loose weed. A couple of hours either side of low water may be your best bet. Have a look at it. Look for shots where the waves are breaking well out or for areas with gaps in the breakers and remember this... Them bleeding elusive sprags could be anywhere

...... Whitley bay beach. Marsden beach. Seaham Hall beach, even the old colliery beaches if the sea does'nt get ower big. As I said before I'd reccommend a coupla hours either side o' the bottom, preferably in the dark, but be careful if your on your tod.

There's a bit o' movement there now and wi' low water about 7:00 pm the neet it could be well worth a shot over the next coupla neets.

(Neebody berra mention Roker beach mind 'cause I might be down there)
