  • Advice on the beacons

Hi there all. I fancy a trip to fish the beacons next week but I don't know how's it's fishing. Just wondering if anyone has fished it laterly and is it good at this time of year and best baits to use.

    Cheers all

Do you mean the beacons at Newbiggin? If you do mean there the flat rock at the corner is a good shot chuck to the north slightly, lug and peeler is probably the best bait to use at the moment, but fish are hard to come by at the moment, sea needs a good easterly, good luck and have a good xmas. Just read a post and it says the wind is changeing to a easterly then north easterly about wednesday, so the beacons could turn out to be a good shot and just might have a trip up there

Cheers for the help if the wind changes I'll have a go at it. I've fished it before but I've heard no reports about it lately so thought it wasn't fishing.

          beacons

dont go on a northerly or easterly unless the sea has died down a fair bit. south easterly is best shot and although some fish are caught on the ebb most are took on the flood. have a look at bedlington station club site it shows the beacons so this may help.
