    Hi all

As i'm new to sea fishing i'm still buying all my equipment. i have just bought a fisheagle smock because it looked good in the pictures and not too expensive, but now i have it its not that bad apart from the arms are very short.

was just wondering if there are certain brands I should keep well clear of?

I dunno about that took my Abu Suveron fishing the other day with the Abu 6500 and left the tip tornado at home with the Penn Supermag. Did,nt really miss them that much. Abu set up was spot on.
Abu Suveron 200 squids. Abu 6500 60 squids (not mag).
Tip Tip Tornado 300 squids and 525 Supermag 150 squids.
Personal best, 12.5lb Tope Scotland. 22/05/2012.

Best look at what other people use and ask them what they think, don't always buy top brands either a lot of the time you'r just paying for the name

as said u get wat u pay for. cree headlights are a decent headlamp for budget fishing and red ice fishing line seems to be ok. secondhand fishing tackel is awlays a good option too.

get the best u can spare for ur rod be it new or secnd hand. get a decent reel again new or second hand.get warm clothing, that will be comfortable/keep urself dry . neva skimp on the hooks. or ur catch rate will drop then nothing else wud matter
