Well my 8 year old son has decided he wants to "learn" to catch fish. But, which fixed spool reel would be suited to an 8 year old. Larger capacity reels won't be suited, so does anyone have any idea what smaller capacity fixed spools would be suited.

my grandaugher uses a medium size 1 which hold about 175yds of 25 line and uses it ok

try going to shop and see if they will let him try a few to see which seems comfortable in his hand
