Fishing Saturday night... Any ideas? Willing to travel.

A few of us are fishing sat night setting off at 4pm'ish there isnt much catching apart from whiting around our areas at mo with these crap winds, willing to fish rocks/beach/pier basically we want to catch fish (as in not just whiteys lol). Has any one any ideas where would be worth a shot any where from sunderland northwards right up to seahouses? Any ideas?
