  • best line

i have always used 30lb diawa sensor for heavy ground but i have come to the conclusion that it is a bit thick. plus i think there are times when a bit extra distance can be helpful over the rough stuff.

so what i would like to know is which 25lb line would be best over the heavy ground obviously used with a rubbing leader.

    thanks people
    Regards Nicky.

25lb sensor is still .52mm compared to 30lb f1 which is .45mm so am gonna give that a bash i think, cheers.
              Regards Nicky.

Ultima power plus is the best line I have used and its also the thinnest. 30lb is 0.45mm and and I think the 25lb is 0.40mm.

Yep, it's good line. Same low diameter as F1, I switched from that to F1 as I found the F1 a bit more abrasion resistant but still get it as an alternative.

Low diameter lines for breaking strains are normally pre-stretched.

Rough ground fishing buy on diameter over pound line.

18lb sensor for distance and rough seas/ headwind
                              20lb normally

25lb sensor for rock hopping and dragging fish through boulders (short range fishing)
                              30lb

                              thats just my choice.

i rememeber loosing a big cod off johnsons mark near frenchmans point using f1. there was nowt wrong with the leader knot either
