Not a big shore fishing fan in winter but would welcome a offer from soemone to fish with on a local bass mark. Had been meaning to go out in the summer and plug for them but never got a chance with the boat fishing.

I would lvoe to catch a couple of bass (any size i dont care as all be going back after a photo)

You'll be lucky richie as ive put a post like this up before for help with fishing for bass with not one response mate. I think good bass marks are a close kept secret mate. A lads been gettin a few at cambois and lynemouths chucked a few out lately tho. As ive never caught one yet dont think I can offer any advice either bud.

lynemouth seem to be putting one or two on folks hooks, but as im no shorefisherman, cant really help

perhaps you could do a deal get someone to take you bass fishing in exchange for a trip on sting ray

only caught 4 in my life best being 4 1/2 lb but fancied catching more even if only 1lb.

I know most beaches chuck the odd one up but also know a few marks are kept hush hush that chuck them up often..since i shore fish like 6 times a year i doubt i would ever put any kind of dent in a spot.

Ritchie ,I've caught a few myself over the years ,all to bait during the winter , the problem seems to be , if you broadcast it then the area is netted off soon after mate.
You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

Mate dunno if this helps but i saw two dead ones lyin on seaburn beach oposite that Little Italy on Tuesday morning just before low tide about 10" long. Am not expirienced enough to no if this would make any diffrence but it might help you, seems like a big secret where to catch them and no ones saying out.

if locally souths shields big beach chucks them out when theres a bit of sea on. on the north side tynemouth beach produces bass as well fishing the middle of the beach, again when there is a bit of sea on.

generally speaking a lot of beachs north of the tyne do throw up bass but you need to exhaust all avenues.

                        hope this helps mate.
