Just spent a few hours scouting out some marks for the winter and had a bit of time around Cambois. Just wondering if anyone on here fishes that area as I had a couple of questions.

First, there looks like a couple of good channels between the skeers in front of the big alloy smelting containers, the orange coloured ones. I guess that's a high water mark but it looks like a hell of a job to land a fish if you're fishing the bank above the sea defences. Is that where you fish or do you try to get lower down.

Similar question about the Ramp at the south end of Cambois beach. It looks like it could potentially be dangerous on a big sea so would you fish the top of the ramp at high water?

Last, I was told to also try behind the houses, about half a mile north of the end of the road at the alloy works. Had a look but couldn't see any obvious access to the beach - do you just hop the fence?

    Cheers

Robbo to get to the beach where the houses are m8 come off the 189 for brock lane and follow the road right to the end till you come to a round about go over and take a left go under the railway bridge park on the left and you can get down to the beach from there hope this helps m8

The mark named " back of the houses ", before you get to end of road where the ramp and the high water mark you described there are four rows of houses , to the left at the top of the first row there is a path which leads to a small tunnel through to other side of railway . Be careful going through tunnel as its low as I found out when my forehead made contact with the tunnel top lots of marks over there . The high water mark is named " the blocks " and care is needed lifting fish . The ramp also needs common sense as life has been lost there, albeit not anglers, during a big sea Hope this helps .......Dave.

Another good mark there is Cambois hole. Drive to th start of the pier, park there, go through the cut away sections of the wall leading up to the pier, climb down the fixed ladder to the shingle beach make your way over to the hole. Fishes best during a medium size sea.

Cheers lads, as always appreciate the advice. I like the look of the channels in front of those containers but I reckon it would be a mare landing a decent one there
