Can anyone recommend decent spots to fish on the IOW... Will be there over the summer in the Bembridge area. Will be for a couple of hours early mornings or evenings when the family ain't up! Also any tackle shops that sell bait? Thanks in advance

Marks Isle of Wight.
Bembridge ledges, low water reefs runs parallel with whole beach front, can walk out onto just like summer fishing here.Northend of town next to Lifeboat station, can walk across beach to drop offs.Fishes for good wrasse, but just as likely get small bass l did.Didnt see myself but was told there was hounds and rays tobe had too.
If you want try further afield,30mins away southeast corner of island Very best is Chale and Atherton beaches, steep and very deep beaches close in,2xray,bass,few small hounds, wrasse and pout in my first session. One those places where anything that swims can turn up,fish baits, big sandeel,macki/bluey,squid wraps/cocktails and crab ofcourse.
Access is steady walk down via a path and steps down through cliff a ravine(chines they call them),but its not hard.
Lots tackle shops and bait in most the islands seaside towns l passed through Sanddown, Shamklin, Rhyde.Took mine over on ferry eachtime l went over from my mates shop in Southsea, Portsmouth...Lock Stock and Tackle.pm me if you need any more details.
