  • easy strip down

had the unfortunate bit of bad luck to occur on one of my mags, part of the frame snapped, luckily ihave an old frame which would do the job so a stripped all the parts off the broken frame, as i was gonna put all the bits back on the other frame i realised every now and then lads ask how easy to strip and service their reels i decide to take a few photos of my mag stripped down to the bone then put it back without any problem in fact it was a doddle , so if your worried about doing this your self dont be as long as you take your time and lay every thing down in order and put it back the way it come off and there should notbe any problems.

obviously no need to go to this extreme to service a mag,

Cracking photos buddy, just goes to show once you learn the inside of ya reel, stripping it down gets easier and a doddle every time, like you showed me.

Good on you for having a go. Like you said there is not that much to the reels and taking them apart is not that daunting if you have a little patience, and some mechanical know how is a help. Nowadays everybody has a digital camera or a camera on their phone, so taking a pic at every stage is possible. This is ideal as some of the schematic drawings can be confusing. I take photos in work while stripping things down and wish I'd had a digital camera years ago while taking machines apart instead of drawings on loads of bits of paper.

Brilliant mate, it deffo inspired me to have a go, after the first went successful I got abit carryed away n decided to do all three haha. All three are running smooth as now, YouTube has afew vids to help which I used for my Abu cos they are abit more fiddly, but with the extra help from my phone which I set up to record, I put it all back together like a pro . So cheers
