  • pryaimd weights

hi iam just wondering if anyone has ever used these weights. i was fishing next to a man last week and he says there the best weights he\'s used. any help would be good

He speak with forking tongue. pryamid(?) weights are NO good for casting and most forms of shore angling. Probably a waste of time off the boat as well. Most lads use torpedo shaped weights for aerodynamics, 6oz - don\'t know why but most rods are designed to handle that weight. If you need to hold bottom buy ones with wires sticking out. Whatever you do though don\'t end up paying a pound a pop.

I\'ve used pyramid weights a long time ago for flatty fishing. They\'re handy if you want to let your bait drag slowly along the bottom with the tide, to attract bites, as they don\'t move too fast. They\'re not much use for anything else, and not really much better for that than the old watch type leads anyway.

Very underrated are watch leads when light boat fishing, from what I\'ve been reading!
