    Another sad reminder to ppl how harsh the sea can be. Please lads put your own safety first and dont take chances. A fish really aint worth dying for. Still a massive effort by rescue services just a shame this time. Thoughts are with the guys family and friends

      Have just read report it was two fishermen from York who were washed off one managed to get ashore and is ok the other sadly did not make it.Im sure you will join with me in offering our condolences to the family concerned.It will not be the first time youve heard this but IT REALLY ISNT WORTH YOUR LIFE TO CATCH A FISH

          At 63 and 64 years old you would think they would have more sense maybe now the 63 year old might have more sense

            i dont think when them guys went fishing thay new what was comeing how many anglers have had a few scares when cod fishing i no i have and have being cod fishing 25 years plus

                Hats off to all that put there lives at risk to try and save this guy, sometimes these people are overlooked and should all be awarded with medals for what they do on a daily routine. very sad for the family of the guy as well

                        its a dangerous place when the seas big ,its only a few year since a bloke was washed from there if i remember rightly i think he died also yes a thought i remembered right ive found it here it is ,very sad ,http://icteesside.icnetwork.co.uk/01...name_page.html
