  • Rubbish (again)

Sorry to bang on about this again, but I had a few hours behind the Doctors House at Howick yesterday (caught nowt), and the place looks like a tip.
There are plastic packets and line everywhere, obviously left by visiting anglers who have no regard for the coast or the wildlife around there.
Remember, it just needs one bird washed up dead and tangled in line to have the antis up in arms, and with just cause.
If you see anyone dumping their rubbish, have a quiet word.
This is not the time to be seen as uncaring litter louts.
    Sorry again for the rant.

Totally right Tony. Just cleared my box out yesterday, it looked more tlike a rubbish bin with all my rubbish I\'d kept - wish more would do the same

its a total disgrace and im ashamed to be an angler at times.these people know its wrong but do it all the same(how moronic?)if youve ever had a walk up south shields pier in the summer you would be embarrassed especially the smell of urine at the end.these ppl are low life scumbags who spoil fishing for others.

unfortunately the mentallity of these people is that if they get angling stopped so what, we will just do something else. They are not real anglers

I agree that the principle should be to have a word with anglers leaving rubbish, but if it\'s 2am, you\'re on the end of South Sheilds Pier, Roker, wherever and four drunk anglers are leaving rubbish and fish carcasses, then no way would I tell them to clean it up. I\'d rather take it myself.

I\'m sure I\'m not the first to have cleaned up the mess left by other so called \"anglers\". As Alan says these people don\'t deserve to own a rod!!!

Steve, got to disagree mate. They do deserve a Rod, but it should be firmly rammed up their a***s with a brushhead fixed to the bottom.

Just to back up Tonyfromalnwick I agree it\'s just as easy to put your rubbish in ya bag and take it home. Fishing that part of the world is one of my favourite places.

a wire brush might be better than a hedgehog steve
