    has anyone fished the tyne recently any luck???

    Fished on the weekend not far from spillars n had 2 small flounder n a eel probs not worth the hassle but I still enjoyed it!

      fish at the groyne after dark skinny whities and codling to 2lb, codling not in great numbers though

          Fished hebburn marina on sunday there was a few cod to 2lb and plenty whities

            8th october sat. afternoon just down from Spillers fished 2 hours either side of high water, caught plenty whiting, flatties and a decent codling at approx. pound and half (my first cod this year)
            kept me occupied so was a canny session!

              If I were the first to comment on this thread my answer would of been "yes" because of the title. As to the actual question, there's been some good reports on here and in tackle shop about the tyne, I'm having a blast with the new reel on Sunday.
              Species: Cod, Bass, Coalie, Flounder, Dab, Rockling, Mackerel, Plaice, Pollock, Ballen Wrasse, L/S Scorpion, Common Blenny, Weaver (unfortunately), Whiting, Common Eel, Trout, Pike... think that's it
