    fished with greys platniums 4 years 4 mixed and clean ground all ways loved them. still do never let me down as long as there cleaned after every trip. went fishing 4 a few hours 2 day bit windy but nice 2 b out .fishing with a guy with a ian golds Extractor m nice bloke let me have a few chucks with his rod and wow what a rod .though my platinums were light had 6oz on it it went and went and that was with me takeing it easy, as it was the guys rod. iv got 2 get 1 watch this space

      Exactly like hens teeth, were selling new for £220 however everywhere sold out apart from the Fixed spool versions, suppose if your desparate you could get the fixed spool one rewhipped or hold out for a good second hand multiplier version. i heard ian golds sold off his rod building side to another tackle company so doubt they will be in production again.

      ive just been reunited with a brand new kompressor SS for second hand money , after i sold mine a year ago and regretted selling it ever since so that should keep me going for a while.

        the platinums were 400 quid each when thay first came out lot ov money now 200 .hard 2 belive u could get 2 ian golds rods 4 nearly the price ov 1 greys platinum .if thay all sold out i wonder why he sold up

          i agree excellent rod and i have a platinum gsi as well, i think they sold out for the large some of money real fishing offered him, who own berkley penn jrc and a few other makes so less competition for them mate.
