  • Tips for beginners please

Hello. My son and i have had some success with mackerel in Cornwall but really fancy a trip to the Seahouses area to catch something to cook and eat, there and then. I know mackerel is a little later on but if we come across (from Cumbria) in the next month or so, what are we fishing for? Whats the best tide? Best shore location? Best rig?
I hope you dont mind me asking so many questions and i look forward to hearing from you.
    Cheers

sorry I cant help with the venues but this time of year your best off targeting the flatfish of clean beaches. size 2, 2 hook flappers lobbed into the shoreline. worms tipped with a small piece of mackerel is all that's needed.

to be honest the flat fish fishing is better on your side.
