Hi guy's considering the previous thread regarding attaching cart, I thought I would post this separate as it's a different question. i have used cart a few times now, i'm not sure how I feel about it. e.g. is it any better than normal crab. Thinking about what is in it you would expect it to be, however I have not had a lot of success with it. maybe it would be better in the winter, only used in the summer months. whats your opinions.
    cheers andy

Not found it to be any better than normal crab Andy - and normal crab is less hassle.

The best results come from cart that contains the red berries if your cart does not contain them the results would be totally diffrent

You hit the nail on the heed there Dean.
I have seen lads actualy buying cock crab for cart on the fish quay.
As you say,its the berries( eggs) from a female thats the main ingredient in Cart.
The hens are at there best just before they peel, which they have to do to mate.
Open the pouch and look at the 2 f@nnies.
If they are a pale sandy colour they are not ready. If they are swollen and orange colour they are nearly ready to peel and have a lot more eggs inside.
This is also the best way to check an edible when buying to it eat, they are at there fullest, not full of water.
